Sharing the Blessings and Love This Christmas

Last long weekend, I went on a hiatus with two of my dearest friends, Irog and Glen. It was the last day of November when we left Manila at noon time via Seair. Since this was a so-called de-stressing trip, we went somewhere far away from the noise of the city. No more limestone karsts this time, we just had enough last month. So off we went glamping at my second home – Bluewater Sumilon Island Resort in Southern Cebu.
Due to the heavy traffic in Cebu that day (it was the thanksgiving celebration for St. Pedro Calungsod), we reached the pristine island way past sunset. We were then welcomed by the resort’s resident manager, Edison Navas. It was from him that I learned about Bluewater Sumilon’s benefit dinner set the next day during the lighting ceremony of the Balay Parol
On the evening of the benefit dinner dubbed as Walk Among Stars, the pathways of Bluewater Sumilon were decorated with luminous lanterns that look like stars from heaven. Combined with the cool night evening breeze, the setup made me more excited about Christmas!
When we arrived at the pavilion, a buffet spread of scrumptious Noche Buena favorites delighted our senses. Of course, the star of the night is none other than the sinful yet irresistible, Cebu lechon. Lord of the rings, let there be wine to wash away the deadly yet addicting cholesterol-loaded roasted pork, I silently prayed.
While everyone was feasting on lechon and a myriad other things on the table, 12 beneficiaries in Oslob and Mactan, Cebu and Panglao, Bohol were flashed on the big screen. Seeing the slides slowly move into transition made me feel the spirit of the season more. Isn’t it that Christmas is not just about the food that we eat during Noche Buena, nor the gifts that we received? It’s about sharing your blessings and love to others. I am glad Bluewater Resorts is doing this for the yuletide season. Kudos to all of you!
To share their blessings even more, Bluewater Resorts is pleased to offer special rates for the holidays.
After dinner, I asked the friendly staff of Bluewater Sumilon to join me in one wacky shot (I did this in Bluewater Panglao, too. So Bluewater Maribago, get ready!)
