If you’re a follower of my fan page on FB (here), chances are, you have seen my rants on Boracay’s dirty, algae-infested waters. It was our fourth time on the island and our first to go on a Holy Week, and I must say I won’t dare do it again. It’s just so crazily crowded, and the sand and water weren’t too clean! If I’d have to go back, I’ll make sure it’s off peak season. Period.
I almost thought I would have left Boracay with rants etched on my mind, but thanks to an impromptu work assignment and I found a gem ensconced on the underrated Station 3, the Asya Premier Suites.
We were just suppose to have lunch at Palay, Asya Premier Suites’ restaurant, before heading to the port, but the views seemed to hypnotize us to go around the resort.
From Station 1 where we stayed, we took a tricycle to Station 3 and asked the driver to bring us to Asya near Cagban port. The fare was Php 100. When we entered the resort, this was what welcomed us – a stunning stairs leading down to the beach! It was freakin’ hot though, so we borrowed an umbrella from the front desk. But never mind the heat! The view was so beautiful!
The infinity pool is made of a special stone that keeps the water warm at day time and cooler at night.
Still looking for Palay, we passed by the famed Adlaw bar which boasts a breathtaking view of the sunset and refreshing cocktails. I’d love to lounge here when we go back to Boracay. @Adlawbar — wait for us!
And finally, we found Palay. The view from the restaurant was postcard perfect, albeit scorching hot at the supposedly al fresco area!
I never thought that a resort as beautiful as Asya Premier Suites can actually be found on Station 3. Admittedly, I thought the resorts on Station 3 are more like backpacker’s inns, rustic hotels and budget accommodations. Not to mention that I have this impression that the beach here is the least beautiful on Boracay’s main beach. I stand corrected.
From the restaurant, we could see these rock formations which the resort manager said is a very popular site for proposals and wedding receptions. No wonder. It’s so romantic in there!
Contrary to what I used to believe, the beachfront in Asya is wide, fine and pristine. Way better than the beachfront in Station 2!
Asya Premier Suites has two suite categories: Premier and Presidential. Both are super stunning! We first checked out the Premier Suite – a 110 sqm cozy nook with a tropical flair. All the furniture are made in the Philippines, and the design is so Filipiniana.
From the Premier Suite, the view of the sea is alluring. You can see the boats that come and go from Cagban port.
The spacious bathroom has a free-standing tub, rainshower, and premium amenities.
The Presidential Suite is a haven for honeymooners. With its plush king-sized bed, lavish bath tub and rainshower, a veranda with a picturesque view of the sea and a private plunge pool — what more can you ask for?
Oh, and did I mention that the food is amazing, too? The portions are huge! Will have to write about it on a separate food porn post.
